UNC-SPE-017

A preserved botanical specimen discovered pressed between the pages of an unfinished personal journal located within the upper conservatory archives. The flower displays long narrow black petals surrounding a pale silver center and remains unusually well preserved despite its apparent age. Petal structure remains soft and flexible rather than brittle as expected from conventional pressing methods. The specimen was accompanied by a handwritten notation reading "they only bloom during the alignment". A fine silver particulate substance was discovered beneath the preserved petals. Initial visual examination suggests the flower is not represented within current conservatory records and does not match any known cultivated species maintained within archive gardens. Emotional recognition responses were reported by the Archivist during examination despite no conscious memory of the specimen's origin. Similar spiral forms and silver particulate traces have appeared in multiple recent archive observations associated with astronomical and alignment-related phenomena.
