The Conservatory Clay Figure is a hand-sculpted clay artwork created during what began as a routine figurative study within the Inner Conservatory. The intended subject reportedly consisted of a seated figure positioned beside a lantern. During construction the composition changed progressively without deliberate planning until the finished work depicted a standing figure descending downward with one hand pressed against stone and the other extended behind as though guiding an unseen companion. The completed sculpture displays strong visual similarities to imagery documented within recurring staircase dreams and the West Hall Painting despite no conscious intention to reproduce those subjects. During creation observers reported unusual temperature perception localized moisture resembling seawater and the later discovery of black sediment matching previously recovered unidentified particulate material. The figure remains covered during storage pending further review of potential connections to ongoing memory-related investigations.
