SCA-LOC-451
Constructed during the expansion of the eastern reading halls the balcony provides a clear view across several levels of archival collections and study spaces. The location functions as both an observation platform and a quiet area for reflection overlooking daily archive activity. Lantern galleries and suspended walkways are visible from the balcony making it one of the best locations for monitoring movement through the central collections. The structure remains unchanged from its original construction and is routinely used during evening inspections and research reviews.
