SCA-LOC-114
Hall C houses the Archive's maritime preservation collections including journals maps ship logs expedition records and recovered coastal documentation. Constructed during one of the Archive's early expansions the hall was designed to provide environmentally stable storage for materials affected by salt exposure and damp conditions. Specialized shelving ventilation systems and preservation workstations support ongoing restoration efforts. The hall remains one of the most frequently used working areas within the Archive and serves as a central location for cataloguing maritime acquisitions. Atmospheric changes are occasionally noted following severe coastal storms but no structural abnormalities have been identified.
