SCA-COM-154
The Lavender and Rosemary Conservatory Candle is a handcrafted candle produced within the Inner Conservatory using cream-colored wax infused with lavender oil and dried rosemary. Created during a period of routine domestic work the candle was intended as a practical comfort item rather than an archival artifact. The finished candle produces a soft herbal fragrance dominated by lavender warm wax and rosemary notes and is representative of the everyday crafts created to support life within the Archive. The object demonstrates traditional hand-poured construction techniques and reflects the quieter domestic activities that occur alongside preservation containment and research work. While possessing no anomalous properties the candle has been retained as an example of Archive-made commercial goods and personal craftsmanship associated with daily life within the collection halls.
