UNC-OBJ-374
The Maritime Recovery Coin is a heavily worn metallic coin recovered from the cliffs below the Archive and subsequently delivered by Muninn to the Inner Conservatory. Extensive age related wear has removed nearly all identifiable markings leaving no surviving denomination issuer or national affiliation. The object displays significant seawater exposure and corrosion consistent with prolonged marine deposition. Examination revealed a persistent odor of salt aged metal and oil smoke despite surface cleaning. The coin bears material similarities to other maritime recovery objects associated with drowned harbor traditions and unidentified coastal settlements documented within Archive records. No definitive provenance has been established. The artifact later appeared on the maritime shelves beside the Barnacle-Covered Bell despite having been left elsewhere within the Archive. No verified explanation for the relocation has been identified.
