TIM-DOC-417

The Spiral Eye Cartographic Marking is a concealed symbol recovered during restoration of an older maritime chart. The image remained hidden beneath extensive water staining and became visible only after preservation work exposed underlying ink layers. The symbol consists of a spiral form surrounding a single central eye. Comparison with previous Archive records confirmed visual similarities to spiral carvings documented on the Foundation Gate Keyway and recurring spiral imagery found within the Submerged Doorway Sketches. The symbol appears intentionally placed rather than decorative. No accompanying text legend or cartographic reference was found elsewhere on the chart. Discovery of the marking coincided with a brief unexplained dimming of study lamps and immediate attention from both Clio and Muninn. The purpose origin and significance of the symbol remain unresolved.
